Remember a few weeks ago when we sat down for an interview with The Drum to chat about our Chip Shop Awards entry? No? Ok, here’s a refresher.
To recap; The Drum’s editor, Stephen Lepitak, asked if he could have a chat with our resident conceptual duo, Steve Frith and Jack Glasscock about one of our entries. They were, of course, happy to oblige. The Chip Shop Awards pride themselves on celebrating pure, unadulterated creativity, after all.
They had a quick chat about one of our entries into the Best Shop Window Post Card category and kept their fingers crossed for when the nominations were announced to see if it hit the mark.
So, it’s with pure, unadulterated joy that we can announce we’ve been nominated – not once, but twice! Both of our entries into the Best Shop Window Post Card category made the coveted cut.
Our first entry: ‘Achoo’
A crumpled tissue, pinned to a shop window with strategically positioned blu tack to look something like a sneeze, underpinned with ‘Catch it, Bin it, Kill it’ and the NHS logo.
And our second: ‘Tim’s Tints’
A contrasting black card with an intentionally curved corner to mimic a tinted car window. Clever, right?
The Drum Chip Shop Awards is space where anything goes and the possibilities are endless, and we can’t wait to see if our name gets called out (albeit virtually) on the 4th June. Wish us luck!
